Good Day to Sew

We haven't had the blizzard that was expected, but I still spent the day sewing. It's a good life!

This is a pattern from Laundry Basket Quilts , I made the bag that is on the back of the pattern. The appliques all cut out, ready to be ironed.

Everything cut out and ironed, ready for sewing.

Ready for assembly.

My fourth OPAM finish for January. This was a nice bag to make, I did make a few changes to the pattern (lengthened strap and changed position, also changed inside pocket placement). I never seem to follow a pattern to the letter!

I came across another give away today. Cathy over at Live well, Laugh often, Love much! is having an apron give away for her 200th post. Contest closes on Feb 4th.

Have a great day!

Hi there! Welcome to blogland . . . this is the first time I've stop by your blog. You really do try just about everything . . . love seeing the progress of your knitted socks. I'm upset that we didn't get the blizzard that was forecast - I was really hoping for a snowed-in day tomorrow . . . oh, well, another day, another dollar - as they say! Have a great week. - Marlene

Joanne,
Congrats on your fourth finish. Mr. Wonderful stated I would probably finish more if I would just stick with one project. How boring!!!! LOL

Blessings,
Jilly

What a gorgeous bag - I love the shape of the flap and the applique. Congratulations on another finish.

I love the bag. Was it a simple pattern? SOmetimes these bag patterns are so complicated.
Do you think I will be able to make an evening type bag with this pattern?
