Half Square Triangle Quilt

I finished the half square triangle quilt -

I made this with 4" HST (squares cut to 5", HST trimmed to 4.5").
The quilt is 100" square, with a 25x25 block layout, using 625 HST blocks.
I used wool batting (Hobbs Tuscany), and free motion quilted it on a domestic sewing machine with Essential Pro thread, in an all over meander pattern.
Our bed is an old double bed that has been modified and now fits a queen mattress.
I wanted a "plain", old fashioned quilt that I could use with some smaller quilts.
This was a really nice quilt to make. Before starting I had thought parts of the process would be tedious (trimming HST), but every step was enjoyable.
I am really pleased with how it came out.

I sewed a dress -

I have made this pattern a few times and am always amazed how well it comes together (odd shaped pieces, and very few instructions).

I am still working on knitting 12 pairs of handspun socks in 2022 -

This pair (#9 for the year) is simple stockinette.

Tour de Fleece started on July 1st (and ends July 24th)-

TdF is an online spinning event held at the same time as the Tour de France.
I am hoping to finish spinning some BFL wool for a sweater (the two bags of fibre at the bottom of the photo), and to spin the five bundles of Targhee wool for a Nightshift Shawl.

The garden is growing well. The bees seem happy there too.

Our yard is so green, makes a nice change from the last couple of years of drought (the drought and gravel road dust had a bad effect on the shelter belt trees as most are dead).

All the best!♥︎
