France - Day 4

Montmartre and Sacre Coeur today -

the Moulin Rouge near the metro station

we walked the back way and had a long walk up a steep road (hard to tell from the picture)

a windmill on the way

first glimpse of Sacre Coeure

the view of Paris from Sacre Coeur

Sacre Coeur from the bottom of the hill, we walked down the steps

back to the Metro we passed all kinds of fabric stores

this one was beautiful, it had a wall of buttons that was amazing

even a "patchwork" room (didn't buy anything - I'm travelling light)

for supper we had fallafels at this highly recommended spot on the Rue des Rosiers

Views on our evening walk -

A demain!

Oh, I'm loving your travellogue... Are you following a tour plan. I have Rick Steeves Book and plan on using it to map out our touring plan.. It doesn't look too awful touristy. Are the crowds bad.... I can't wait to spend a week in Paris...

Sigh. I've been loving your trip. Almost like being along ... almost.
