Weekend Challenge!!

Friday, I was reading Bonnie Hunter's blog (Quiltville), she talked about being addicted to blogging and how it cuts into quilting time. She put out a challenge for people to sew away from the computer for the weekend - saying that the blogs will be there on Monday.
I took up the challenge and didn't go on the computer all weekend, I concentrated on the projects I have been working on.

I finished two little quilts that I pieced at the beginning of the month.

This one is 24" x 18", with wool batting. I wanted to try out Flying Geese with striped fabric.

I didn't quilt on the triangles because I wanted them to stay puffy.

This is the back of the other little quilt. It is 13½" x 20". It is my giveaway for One World, One Heart, starting at the end of the month (I will show the front then). This one has cotton batting.

Both are made with the fabric line "Reflections of an Era Past", and both are free motion quilted with Invisafil/Aurifil thread on my home sewing machine.

I sewed all the Drunkard's Path blocks that I cut out on Friday. Over 70 DP's pieced-

and pressed!

I also worked on the Romanian Point Lace table center. All the little bundles of thread (the beginnings and endings of the braid) have been used. I have passed the point of being sad that something is almost finished, and because I have been working on it so much - I have now reached the point where I will be glad when it is finished!!

I was really pleased with all that I accomplished by staying away from the computer, but I think everything in moderation is OK. This year I have been limiting my blogging time and commenting/replying to comments less - this seems to work for me. It has been such a fantastic resource.
When I was blog surfing today, I was a bit surprised to see that Bonnie blogged this weekend!!?

Here it is cold (-30°C/-22°F) and we have had lots of snow -

A Chickadee at the suet feeder - we don't see them too often.

Have a great day and thanks for stopping by!!
