Friday Night Sew-In

Tonight for the Friday Night Sew In I am working on the Thread Head Quilt Along quilt.

I am stitching on the third border, just a small border to go! I hope to have the whole quilt top finished this evening.
Thanks for hosting this evening Heidi!

Have a great time sewing and thanks for stopping by!!

Update - I have finished the quilt top!!!

The last border is stitched on -

with just enough thread!
Off to press the whole top.

Update -

I had a hard time finding somewhere to lay the quilt out - it is the biggest quilt I have made (a King size).

I really like how the borders turned out.♥

I only just got started on this quilt along. I finished blocks 1 & 2 today. I'll be working on block #3 and #4 tomorrow. I'm making two blocks each. Have fun tonight.

I got my top put together this evening. I was going to leave it like it was but decided I need to add another border. I'm going to have to buy a floral for the border. I know it is so sad to have to buy more fabric....lol Thanks for the quilt-a-long. I have enjoyed it. Hugs

Looks wonderful Joanne - your borders fit perfectly. I am still trying to get some of the same fabric I used in the alternating blocks - so not quite sure what I am doing yet. I do love yours though.

It looks fabulous!!! I love the borders and didn't realize that you were doing both. Good idea. Maybe I'll do the same. I won't be able to work on it for another month because we're leaving today and I'm only taking small projects with me. Boo Hoo!

WOW! Instead of a Block of the Month that is like a Block of the Decade! Looks wonderful!

Joanne your quilt is gorgeous! I love your choice for the borders. I also feel a sense of accomplishment with my quilt along finished, 92 x 92. This week our Guild meets and I will be taking it for show and tell. The Festival and Quilt Auction is in September, I will let you know how much money is raised with the Quilt Along quilt!

I just ran across this quilt along, so I joined to follow and posted a link from my blog to this wonderful project. I wish I had found it earlier. But I'm still planning on joining in on the fun. Thank you so much for putting this online for everyone to participate. : )
