My Friday Night Sew In had an early start -
with Joan in Australia - Friday night there. Seeing her in her tank top made me forget how cold it is here!
I started sewing Winding Ways blocks - I cut enough for a large quilt. I am sewing the blocks together as I go. These are ~8" blocks, and I need to make 144 of them - 12 made yesterday.
I also did some knitting - heart socks in red wool!
Another wonderful FNSI - thanks Bobbi!
Have a great day and thanks for stopping by!♥

I'm pretty sure your winding ways quilt will be my favorite! The colors you picked are gorgeous.
I've always love the Winding Ways quilt. LOVE the fabrics you are using!!!
Congratulations on staying up to sew, I am always so tired by then. Guess if I would like to join Friday Night Sew I, I could have a Friday Morning Sewing In. Like your tutorials on the side bar. Hugs
Beautiful Winding Way blocks... and fabric selection too! It's going to be gorgeous!
I want to learn to knit socks... just need to find a good book to teach me how...
The video Sew-In is a great idea. Why haven't I thought of that?
Love the socks you are knitting, and the yarn is luscious, too.
Winding Ways is really pretty. The colors are so soft and blends well... Love it!!
I love the colors in your Winding Way block. It's a beautiful block. I wish I could knit socks well. I attempted and finished a simple one and haven't been able to get myself to practice more.

Great winding ways blocks and the socks are just beautiful.
Looks like you got lots done there Joanne! Great pattern!
So do you skype with more than one gal on these FNSI nights?
Perhaps I'll have to see what I can do here with that idea... no camera for it right now... :(
Happy stitching!
I love your Winding Ways, and the socks are great.
Hello another very busy lady! Thank you for your visit and lovely comment :)
You have a very nice and interesting blog, I will be back!
Your Winding ways is looking great - love how you have done the colours. Your blocks are a little bigger than mine of 6"... I wonder if I can convert mine to machine sewing; are the curves tricky to match?
I love the quilt that is a super job you did with your blocks and the socks are gorgeous.
Winding Ways is a block I never conquered. I could get a couple to go together well and then a couple that wouldn't match up quite right.
