This week I finished a woven table runner -
It is an old pattern called La Belle Creole (I modified a draft I found here, but the tie up is incorrect, the tie -up is from here).
The table runner is different on each side.
Finished size is 16.5" x 50" (60" with fringe).
More details can be found on my Ravelry project page.
This is another one of my year of weaving experiments - for this one it is new weave structure - Tied Overshot. The materials I used are leftover from an Overshot project I wove a couple of years ago (Rings of Circles Table Runner). Visibly there isn't much difference (both have solid and half tone sections), but the threading drafts are very different.
Woven with 2/8 tencel for the warp and tabby weft, and 2/3 perle cotton for the pattern weft.
I also finished spinning some yarn for socks (a BFL/Nylon blend).
I dyed the fibre to spin two different ways to make striped socks
Photos from Around -
Best friends enjoying the warm weather.
Laying hens.
We don't get nine eggs everyday, but it is pretty exciting when we do.
Something caught his attention.
Big skies.
The following are drone photos my son took when the surrounding field (a quarter section) was seeded this week -
All the best!♥︎
