For the past few years I have participated in a New Year's Eve Spin-In on Ravelry (in the Spinners' Study Group).
This year I cleaned and combed part of a raw fleece to spin. This was a section of the fleece that was very coarse, with a long staple length (about 4-5 inches).
I dyed the fibre,
then drum carded it to blend the colours.
I spun the second bobbin of singles and then plied the yarn on New Year's Eve. I ended up with 130g/273m of 2-ply yarn, about a Dk weight. I spun this yarn for a weaving project.
Today was a beautiful, clear day with lots of frost.
The last post of the year, and the last of the decade!
All the best!♥︎
