More Machine Quilting

I started machine quilting the Diamonds at Large quilt.

In the diamonds I am quilting a feather wreath.

I made a paper template to trace around with chalk and after stitching around it two times, I free-motion quilted the feathers in. I haven't quite figured out how to make even feathers on an inside curve - oh well! I have better luck with the outside curve - but I thought that the wreath wouldn't look complete without the inside feathers.
I think I will quilt some sort of MvTavishing in the background diamonds.

There is another GO! cutter and dies give away going on over at Jane's Fabrics and Quilts. This one ends on October 1st. Good luck!

Have a great day and thanks for stopping by!!

Have you noticed that Diane Gaudynski ends all her posts with "Keep quilting! Your work gets better everyday." I think this is such a encouraging ending!
And very true!

Gorgeous as usual. I quilted my Pumpkin House on the machine and I really like it. I love your quote at the end of your post because that is what I think I need to do when it comes to machine quilting....is keep sewing!

Inside feathers are challenging. You're doing a great job, though. I've been practicing freeform feathers in anticipation of Mom's quilt.

First, let me say that I am envious of your FMQing
I know I, too, could do it. However, right now I don't feel like I have the time to concentrate. So I do enjoy reading about your venture.

Thanks for the heads-up on the GO! giveaway.
Hugs & ♥♥♥s,
Gerry

Your feathers look great. Yet more inspiration for me to practice, practice...Right now I'm still figuring out how not to have my thread break.

In the first picture of this post, what color is the solid? I absolutely love that color and can't tell (on my monitor) if it's greenish or brownish. Your feathering on it is wonderful!! What color thread did you use?
