A Couple of Finishes

I finished my Winding Ways quilt!!

It is cut with the Winding Ways GO! die. No pattern, I just cut lots of fabric, and worked out a design as I sewed the blocks together. I had an idea in my head before I started, and am pleased with how the quilt turned out. Hopefully I will be able to say the same about the Quilt Along quilt.

I quilted continuous curves in some of the circles, to emphasis them, and then a large meander in the rest of the quilt. I used silk batting - which is such a joy to quilt. The quilt is about 95" square.

The blocks are 8", the circles are 16" across. The scalloped edge is made of half blocks.

This quilt fits my double bed (the last one I made was too big).

I also finished a sweater. The pattern is available here for free. It is the first sweater that I have made that used more than one colour (I have only made 5 sweaters so far). It was quite easy to make, the instructions were very clear.

I used Patons Classic wool, and I only used three contrasting colours (1 ball each) - the pattern called for four, along with the main colour (I used 6 balls).

Have a great day and thanks for stopping by!
